Photographer’s Note

A group of youngsters that call themselves Goths, short for Gothic.
The goth subculture is a contemporary subculture found in many countries. It began in the United Kingdom during the early 1980s in the gothic rock scene, an offshoot of the post-punk genre. The goth subculture has survived much longer than others of the same era, and has continued to diversify.
Some people look at them as though they are to be feared, distrusted and probably a number of other things. Actually when you get to talk to them they are a good crowd and no different from other youngsters.

Hi Mike. Nice "tribal" picture. I'd like to see more of these here on TE, as people usually find the "exotic" only in far-away places in Asia or Africa.
Good note, as well. Off course they're just ordinary kids, who struggle to manage their identities as all teenagers are doing all around the world.

Hello, Mike.

I like this one a lot.

A very well-captured shot, perfectly exposed and with lots of nice colours and details. I presume that this wasn't exactly a candid shot as it would appear from the picture (and also the fact that you used a modest focal-length lens) that you were quite close to this group of people. Yet it doesn't look the slightest bit "posed" or artificial. A fairly wide aperture has given a very satisfying bokeh to accentuate the subjects as well.

A fine note too.

Hello Mike, a nice "family shot", and an interesting note. I like this kind of pictures, which are not simple, unless you manage to convince people to pse in front of the camera.
