Photographer’s Note

I gave the title "Old candy shop" because I can assure TE viewers that it is the oldest in its kind in Istanbul , a city which doesnt lack pastry and candy shops . Also the owner seemed quite old himself, and at the moment I was taking a picture , he opened one of these big brass covered jars and tried to offer some sweets. I found out later that he was deaf . I used a very slow ceiling directed flash to enhance parts of the shop which were in the dark, and color the candy jars. Because I was very close to the first one ,I used a rather small aperture like F11, which after all gave a broader depth of field, and diminished the flight effect...
