Photographer’s Note
Mozambican women from the rural areas sometimes wear the Musiro which is a kind of face treatment which protects their skin from the sun.
This is something I also saw in Burma with a wooden paste called Tanaka.
This picture was taken at the morning market close to the church of the wonderful city of Ilha de Mozambique.

I`ve seen a lot of Thanaka in Burma ,but this kind of cosmetic and sunprotection looks interesting too.
A great portrait with perfect sharpness,rich colors and great contrast with the nice,blurred background.
