Photographer’s Note
Could have been sharper but considering it was taken without a tripod, for a 30 sec shot, the camera on a cement post, on hand on the shutter in case it would fall, I'm satisfied with the result.
A little canal (Rio di Ca' Dolce) at the extremity of Rio Tera Dei Franceschi, where we stayed in an annex to Hotel Bernardi, a couple of streets away from the busy Strada Nova near Piazza Santi Apostoli.
PS. I highly recommend this small hotel, very nice comfortable and clean rooms at a very very affordable price for Venice. Well located, 10 minute walk from Rialto Bridge, and near Ca D'oro vaporetto station.

I like the warm colors and the subject matter but am somewhat puzzled by the high grain, or better said, noise. It does resemble a bit a water color painting. The composition is interesting, I would have probably tried to avoid the inclusion of the corner of the building in the frame, but am not convinced that the result would have been better. Your hotel suggestion comes just at the right time and I might make use of it next week.
