Photographer’s Note
The spire atop Glastonbury Tor is all that remains of St Michael's church, which was razed to the ground, along with the nearby Abbey, in the 1530s.
Roofless and open to the elements, this Grade 1 structure is nonetheless protected and overseen by the National Trust, to ensure its availability to the thousands of visitors and pilgrims each year.
