Photographer’s Note

I will come back again to uploading photos from my trip to Portugal, but today for a change I decided to show you a beautiful Renaissance town hall from Sandomierz, Poland.

Sandomierz is a city in south-eastern Poland with 25,714 inhabitants (2006). The name of the city comes from Old Polish Sędomir, composed of Sędzi- (from the verb sądzić "to judge") and mir ("peace"). Sandomierz is one of the oldest and historically most significant cities in Poland. Archeological finds around the city indicate that humans inhabited the area since neolithic times. The city came into existence in the early Middle Ages, taking advantage of an excellent location at the junction of Vistula and San rivers, and on the path of important trade routes. The first known historical mention of the city comes from the early 12th century, when the chronicler Gallus Anonymus ranked it together with Kraków and Wrocław as one of the main cities of Poland.

Zawsze jest przyjemnie popatrzeć na piękny rynek z ratuszem w Sandomierzu. Nic dodać, nic ująć - mnie zdjęcie się podoba i nie mam się do czego przyczepić.

Witaj, Slicznie oświetlony runek w Sandomierzu, czy to tak odświętnie, czy codziennie taka iluminacja? Wspaniały ten ratusz. Ładne zdjęcie , fantastyczne nie bieskie niebo. Świecący bruk tez dodaje uroku. Pozdrawiam

Czesc Mariusz,
Czasu zamiast wiecej- mam coraz mniej. Gdy zobaczylem miniaturke, to bez opisu stawialem na Lisbone. Doskonala prezentacja z idealnie dobrana pora. Ciepla tonacja dzieki ulicznemu oswietleniu doskonale kontrastuje z blue. Kostka brukowa w takich miejscach to polowa sukcesu. Naprawde piekne!

Dobar dan, kod nas ima malih oblaka.
Da se nauci nesto novo o ovim starim gradovima.
Dobra kompozicija , dobre boje a narocito dobar trenutak snimka

really a very nice presentation of Sandomierz the most beautiful hour of the day,the blue hour.I like the perspective, as the emptiness of the scene,with the artificial light to make the shot so interesting.Well done.

Czesc,
bardzo ladna wieczorna fotografia. Widze, ze lubisz lapac ta blekitna godzine, nawet lodow nie dojadles. Dobrze wykorzystany statyw bo czas zapewne byl wydluzony. A Sandomierz faktycznie urokliwy. Bdb jakosc fotografii.
