Photographer’s Note

The mansion houses in Chora are perhaps the oldest urban dwellings in all Cyclades and belonged to rich traders. The main feature of the houses is the large rooms, high ceilings, the large thick walls of stone and internal luxurious layout. A hall dominated in the centre of the house and as a result of its location was to be hosted there the life of the family. At the bottom of the house are situated big basements for storage products.
The mansions in the districts outside from the fort were built by wealthy Greeks. Most mansions have a fort character because of the territory and the hazard of the region at the year that was built.

Vasilis, I do not love the frame but the photo is great. Lighting is awesome and well managed and the composition is very interesting, nice work.

A well composed picture with beautifully soft colours.
Beautiful old the house, but it needs lots of love. What a contrast with the perfect stone wall around the yard. Perhaps a promise of better days for the house itself? TFS and have a nice day, Dasha

πολύ ωραία παρουσίαση αυτού του αρχοντόσπιτου της Νάξου με τις πολύχρομες βοκαμβίλιες του.Βλέπω τραπέζια στρωμένα στον προαύλιο χώρο του,χρησιμοποιείται από κάποιο διπλανό εστιατόριο; Μου αρέσουν τα χρώματα και το ζεστό φως της σύνθεσης.

Hello Vasilis,

A very good presnetation of this old house. The POV well slecetd and the good use of the barrier in the FG give a great depht to the image. The red of the flowers arise very well in the harmony of colors.

Αναμφίβολα είναι αξιολάτρευτα! αυτά τα άλλοτε ποτέ αρχοντόσπιτα που μένουν αβοήθητα σε κάθε ελληνική γωνιά!
Εχουν κάτι από την ιστορία τους να πούν αλλά μένουν βουβά και έρημα! Κακώς !Μια εικόνα που αναζητώ, για να το θαυμάσω!Σε ευχαριστώ
