Photographer’s Note

Today we were at the beach of Scheveningen and we were present with this wonderful sky!! The Nederlands have no beautiful mountains like the most country's but the clouds realy compesate it.

Hello Kik,
A good choice for aqn ultra low horiwon to emphasize the play of the mighty clouds. The orange band provides a good contrast.

Hi Kiks,

you have caught a wonderful atmosphere in this photo. The dark tones and trong contrast make the scene more dramatic. Placing the horizon line in the bottom was a good decision since that sky deserves to be the main attraction. Great one!

Hello Kik Ko -

What I have enjoyed on this site about the images from the Netherlands is the expressive and dramatic skies. My wife and I visited the Netherlands in Sept 2008 and was hoping for some dramatic skies. Most our time the skies were disappointing but one day on a bus trip out of Amsterdam we were rewarded with an afternoon of clouds. Enough about me, your image fits in with the best of Holland's sky images. Color, drama, and scene are right on. I am amazed with so few comments. Well done!

Yes, another really amazing sky shot, the tiny little people is really great to show scale, of just how small we are against this immense nature, we seems even more fragile under this stormy clouds. You managed some really nice warm colors at the horizon. Good shot. Thanks

Yes, I agree with the title, amazing sky with the pattern of clouds, the colors and the lightning filtering throught them.
Moreover we have the small silhouettes of the people on the beach giving the scale on this cinemascope landscape.
