Photographer’s Note

Kastellet, located in Copenhagen, Denmark is one of the best preserved fortifications in Northern Europe. It is constructed in the form of a pentagram. The five bastions are named as follows: The King’s Bastion (Kongens Bastion), The Queen’s Bastion (Dronningens Bastion), The Earl’s Bastion (Grevens Bastion), the Princess’s Bastion (Prinsessens Bastion) and the Prince’s Bastion (Prinsens Bastion). Kastellet has its own church, as well as a windmill.

This is a perfect, Danish composition. The colors are pure and the flag adds the right touch. I think this is Kastellet, the still functional army barracks in the middle of Copenhagen. You might want to add that to your note. Good post.

This is a great shot of this colorful building. The photo was taken from a nice angle showing two sides of the building. The flag adds a nice splash of color to the scene. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has excellent sharpness.
