Photographer’s Note
Warszawa (Warsaw), district Mariensztat, view from St.Anne’s belfry, on the right St. Anne’s church. Mariensztat is a neighbourhood in Warsaw's borough of Śródmieście (city centre). It is located between the Vistula river and the Old Town. The historical neighbourhood dates from the 18th century, when local nobleman Eustachy Potocki married Maria Kątska and received the parcel of land as part of Kątska's dowry. He established a jurydyka and named the town Maryenstadt after his wife, adding the German suffix stadt to please the Saxon king of Poland. After World War II, the spelling was changed to Mariensztat; this did not change the pronunciation. The neighbourhood was razed to the ground during the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. Reconstruction work began in 1948, involving a complete redesign of the street plan and architectural appearance of the area. Mariensztat became a model housing project under Poland's new communist authorities, and was the first part of the city to be completed in their ongoing reconstruction of Warsaw. The neighbourhood was featured in a 1953 film “Adventure in Marienstadt”.

Hi Swiatek,
Interesting info and an original POV with the roof of the church on the right side. The composition has a good contrast with these two different sides.

Jak to śpiewała Irena Santor:
"Małe mieszkanko na Mariensztacie,
To moje szczęście, to moje sny..."
Fajne zdjęcie. Przynajmniej w końcu widzę o co z tym mieszkankiem chodzi.

Siema Swiatek!
Ladna pogoda, sliczne swiatelko, przesliczne jasne kolorki. Wystrzalowa kompozycyjka: z jednej strony dach kosciola, z drugiej dach kamieniczek i pylon mostu w glebi.

Hi Swiatopelk,
A very interesting note! The white chimneys and the red roof make a very fine pattern in the lush green landscape. Interesting part of this church also. I think you have done quite a good cropping here!
Kind regards

Witaj Swiatopelku!
Ladne kolorystycznie zdjecie.
Serdecznosci!

Hello Swiatopelk,
The fine warm light adds to the beauty of the city!
The red roofs stand well and the composition with the bold use of the church in front works well with me...
Good depth and fine colour contrast!
