Photographer’s Note
The most visited museum in the world is the Louvre, a former palace and official residence of France's monarchy. It has dominated central Paris since the late 12th century. The dark fortress of the early days was transformed into the modernized dwelling of François I and, later, the sumptuous palace of the Sun King, Louis XIV. It has been a museum since 1793.

Splendid composition. Our eyes follow the guard-rail to continue on the bigger building to the right and then arrive to the plazza and the other building in the background.

Very good shot.
But you're wrong: The Louvres has never really been Louis XIVth's place. Versailles was. The Louvres was the french king castle before Versailles. And after french revolution.
