Photographer’s Note
With Harappa II (Pakistan), I showed a contemporary version of a cart with driver and load. This is a terracotta edition from the Harappa civilization of 3,500 years earlier, to be found in the Harappa Gallery of the National Museum in Delhi. There are some viewers who have seen this as a child's toy. I believe the society had reached a level of economic achievement where leisure activities in the form craftwork were pursued. This particular piece has progressed from craft to art.
