Photographer’s Note

Some days ago I showed you the small castle Neuenhof. Now I want to show you two details of this beautiful little manor, built in 17th century.

My main picture shows the so-called alliance coat of arms of the noble families Neuhoff and Bottlenberg, fixed to the gable. When the spear side of Neuhoff family died out, the daughter of the last baron married baron von Bottlenberg in 1714 and this coat of arms reminds of this alliance.
In German this is called "Hochzeitstafel" that means ~ "wedding tablet".

In workshop you can see the front door of the manor house - I think a lovely piece of art crafted by hand.

Guten Morgen Frank,

wirklich schöne und interessante Details, die du uns da zeigst, die Tür gefällt mir noch besser als der Giebel! Vielleicht hätte ich den oberen Gebiel nicht oder noch etwas weiter unten abgeschnitten, aber das nur so am Rande.

SSchönen Tag aus einem grauen Südtirol (habe gut gtan, den gestrigen Tag zu nutzen ;-)

Hallo Frank,
gerade das wollte ich gestern abend vorschlagen - ich war aber schon zu müde. Also die Verzierung des Giebels und die des Zauns sind die Elemente, die dem Schloss eine aristokratische Eleganz verleihen und sicherlich auch in Details bewundernswert sind. Keine Enttäuschung!

Hello Frank,
A very complicated and imaginative coat of arms. The colour of the wall is not the nicest possible, but these figures and shapes make it shine nevertheless.
Very good sharpness and fine texture of the wall.

Hi Frank,
Very interesting to see this attractively decorated gable again and a bit closer. I liked your previous picture and I like this one too. But I think the WS here is maybe even better, but I always wondered, what is that chalk wring above the door for? Is it some kind of communal inspection, or?

Lieber Frank,
Wieder ein lehrreiches Beitrag ! Diese Wappen sind sehr belehrend und koennen auch lustig sein. Ist der Kopf links ein Ziegenkopf oder Hundekopf ?
Schoene warme Farben und gutes Seitenlicht welche einen tollen 3 D Effekt bildet.
