Photographer’s Note

Skipping through TE I saw some old-time Venice shots from Daddo. Pictures made in the 80's....quite old...but still actual.

I think this is one of Venice various magics: the sense of timelessness you have when you walk across its narrow roads.

so...here you have a vintage postcard....just took a shot from our great TE meeting and turned it into sephia.

Carino questo viraggio di uno scatto rispolverato dal meeting, più che seppiato sembra rosato però!!
Ha un leggero tilt vesro destra che seguendo la linea prospettica fà un effetto un po' strano .. sembra che tutti quei palazzi ondeggino come su una gondola ... Ma forse sono anche io che dopo la doppio malto in abbinamento alla pizza barcollo un po'...

Hi Silvio,
sieht super aus in Sepia, ich mag diese alten Postkarten. Und zu Venedig passt das sehr gut.Eine sehr schöne Aufnahme mit dem klassischen Diagonalen Bildaufbau. Schöne Arbeit.

bella idea quella di andarsi a vedere le vecchie foto su TE prendendole come spunto per qualcosa di nuovo. La rielaborazione veneziana mi piace molto, funziona e quel gabbiano in volo è la ciliegina sulla torta.

possiamo dire che noi "Reduci" del meeting di Venezia
siamo sempre pronti a tirar fuori dal cappello qualche magica immagine catturata in quell'occasione. E la tua è una di queste. Bella prospettiva con un grande ttrattamento in sepia.

Ciao Silvio,un lavoro di anticatura davvero orrendo,sei sforato troppo nel rosa shocking..ehhee..e pure la foto e' oltremodo storta,d'accordo che Venezia sta affondando,ma non siamo ancora ai livelli della torre di Pisa..vai tranquillo,qualche ciofeca in questi album sempre piu' perfetti ci sta bene e ci da' il modo di trovare di scrivere qualcosa di differente invece dei soliti complimenti,che bella,bla bla bla..eheeh..buonanotte!!! Thanks for this one Silvio - it works well in the sepia but the composition, people etc mean that it could have been taken some time ago. Must have a look at my photos of Venice from my first visit in the early 70s (!) and see if I have something suitable to add.

è un pò storta e un pò rosata, ma è ben composta e soprattutto dà un'immagine originale di Venezia, realmente senza tempo. Probabilmente i due piccoli difetti contribuiscono a renderla ancor più vintage.
