Photographer’s Note
Church at Lac Rose (please click here)... the lake where you could see the rose colours of the alga only when the sun shines and some ripples are seen on the water (on the rigth you could see a small part of the lake in the background).
The lake is also known for its high salt content close to 40%. The lake also has a small salt collecting industry. This is the church of the salt collectors working 6-7 hours a day in the lake In order to protect their skin, they rub their skin with "Beurre de Karité" (shea butter, produced from shea nuts obtained from the Shea nut tree), which is an emollient to avoid the skin to burn.

Good Morning Achim,
What interesting notes to accompany your picture.
This is certainly fulfilling the TE aspirations of learning about the world through photography.
How unusual, to me, to see a church on a beach. But it is beautifully cared for as shown by this sharp, nicely angled shot. Very well composed and with interesting human content.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hi Achim, we do not see enough of this wonderful country on TE, so thank you for bringing it to us. I like the effect of the graphic base upon which the church stands and also the angle used in your POV. Extreme light has been dealt with well and the depth is excellent. Nice work, TFS, Lisa.

Hello Achim,
A well chosen angle of view on the church to show us two sides of the architecture and put it in the context of its surroundings. Good colours and sharpness.

Hi achim.
The corner point of view is allowing me to see the details and colors of the architeture of two sides of the church. The trees are framing well the church. The afternoon light is enhancing the colors of the picture. have a nice day.

Hello Achim,
This is a pretty little church, well built and with good details!
I notice the expanded foundation, to cover the sandy ground...
A fine point of view, good colours and details in this house of worship!

Hello Achim,
Indeed I remember your photograph well on this lake to the astonishing color… This small church is also original by its architecture and its situation on sand. Pretty framing which emphasizes it well, the colors are pleasant. Well done Achim and thank you for your instructive note.
With all my friendships and a very good WE,

Hello Achim
I think you had shared a picture of this coloured lake earlier. The church has quite unique an architecture and what's surprising is the crescent and star at the top, both on the spire as well as above the gate...haven't seen such a symbol in a church before..A good informative note to boot
Best Regards
Angshu
