Brooklyn at dusk Photo

Photographer’s Note

I think everybody knows this view. It was shot from here. From left to right: Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, Watchtower and its light reflection on the water and finally part of the famous Pier 17.

This is an stitching of 4 horizontal shots. It was a very difficult situation. Light was changing fast and I did not have a tripod with me. I had to use a fence to hold the camera and the last photo (at the left) received some exposure adjustment to match the others. 2 minutes passed from the first to the last shot. In the large version you can see some white dots in the sky...no problem with the lens or camera but just the flashing light of an airplain :)

Cara fantástico! Eu dificilmente consigo fotos panoramicas assim, o processe de juntar as fotos nunca fica bom, qual a distância focal que você usou em cada foto, já reparei que quando uso a wide (18mm) dá muita distorção na hora de juntar as fotos. Eu faço na mão, você usa algum programa específico?

As cores estão de arrepiar assim com o brilho. Engraçado que os pontinhos do avião foi a primeira coisa que notei, achei demais e mostra como foi dificil juntar essas fotos, a linha do avião ficou perfeita.

Hey Carlos..you really needed to have the narrowest aperture...probably about f16 to pull off the sharpest results..the light would get more definition and have the starlike effect..instead of the rounded ones..you had the tripod and the freedom of using the long exposure..you must have been in a hurry or something ?? :)

Otherwise you have a great angle at 18mm...
