Photographer’s Note

I continue to exploit my town's square, hope you are not tiring of it...

This is not a blue-hour shot, I know ;-), but I liked the effect of the clouds over the nearly full moon with the long exposure.

The picture shows the fountain of St. Margaret, one of the two fountains supplying water to the inhabitants living on the square before the introduction of more sophisticated technology. In the background is the Romanesque tower of the Church of the Holy Spirit. The tower is the oldest building in Telč square, I do not think there are any other Romanesque remnants anywhere else. It is 49 meters tall and is open to the public, boasting quite fine views of the town and its surroundings.

I like a lot the contrast between the lower part quiet and still with the sky in motion due to the long exposure

What an interesting photo the Sharpness of the building alone is WOW factor then the long exposure with the clouds passing has for me given it an almost Haunting feeling normally I would not have so much in the foreground but I agree with what you have done here. Excellent job - IM looking forward to seeing more of your photos and adding you to my Favorites list.

It's really nice. Exposure is perfect and confers to this shot a great atmospher. I like you choose to include this beautiful sky in your framing, very good idea. This accentuate this particular atmospher.

Hi Dasha, I am definitely not tiring of your beautiful city and its main square! Please keep them coming! The effect of the 30 seconds on the cloudy sky is wonderful. As you say it's not Blue Hour, but I'm being "Blue Houred" out these days :) and like the slight violet tinge to the sky. The clarity of the buildings and church are really impressive and are all complemented by the attractive framing. Have a wonderful weekend, PS I was talking to a lovely lady from Prague about you. Wow this is an impressive night shot, great Pov and use of lighting. The sky is awesome with the moon behind the clouds, just a wonderful composition and maybe one criticism the spire may be a little too well lit.

Hello Dasha, The sky has an interesting look about it, similar to the ones we usually see with running water, the clouds must have been moving quickly across the sky!!!.
Beautiful,colour, excellent light & detail. I think the bright street lights often cause problems but here they are handled well. Beautiful image, lovely town square.
