Photographer’s Note

It pays to look up as one proceeds through Upper Antelope Canyon. I find the sandstone sculptures have endless photographic opportunites and well worth the fees to visit these slot canyons. I did add some saturation plus I tweaked the hue. I also lightened the shadows to bring out some more detail in the darker areas.

These geological formations are really splendid, a very beautiful composition, nature is artist sometimes. Pretty photograph, one would say a painting, I like much your judicious saturation and the good management of the lights in background. Well done Phil, thank you.

Hello Phil! Amazing nuances of red-orange, depending where the light hits the rocks. Yes a great look up photo, the structure is so fascinating, you almost want to touch it, find out how it feels. An incredible place I only found out because of TE. I mean I guess I had seen pictures before but seeing it from people we "know", this is even more exciting. Lovely grained stones, it is artistic and have a good look with stream lines creating the feels not very hard and not very soft, just like an abstrast paint, good close up, distinct photo, well done.

Hello Phil. I think you did very well in keeping your mind open for a variety of viewpoints as in this Looking up perspective. I think if one were to capture great photos from Antelope Canyon it pays well to see the work of others and learn from their work. Thank you for your perspective.
