Photographer's Note

This photo was taken in the evening light and shows a sustainable living house in the foreground. The backdrop is Croagh Patrick, per legend, the place where Saint Patrick banished the snakes from Ireland. You can clearly see the beginning of the trail that many people use to make the pilgrimage to the small chapel at the summit. What you cannot see is the significant climb the trail makes once it disappears from view in this photo making its way up the backside almost straight up a rocky trail. For a 2,510 ft peak, it was quite a workout.

The house was designed by an architect who only builds sustainable buildings as a vacation home. The windows and orientation provide most of the heat. A really well designed comfortable place in a beautiful location.
