Avec les filles j'étais plutôt maladroit. Au mieux, c'était sympathique. Tout seul, devant une fille, je tournais le regarde à gauche ou à droite. En face de deux, la panique vertigineuse regnait dans mes ordres. Quand trois filles s'approchaient, je passais vers l'autre coté de la rue. Il fallait me voir seulement dans un café: la jeune dame commande un cognac et allume la cigarette, et moi, je prends un petit jus d'orange et je ne sais pas vraiment quoi faire de mes mains.
Quelques siecles aprês, je suis déjà un homme expérimenté. Cette enorme expérience ne m'est pas d'une apparente utilité. Au moins, pourrais-je la transmettre à mon fils? Pourtant, jusque-là il n'en a pas découvert le moindre intérêt: dans ses écoles se sont tout à fait defférents programmes.

With the girls I was rather clumsy. At best, it was nice. All alone, in front of a girl, I turned head to the left or to the right. In front of two, dizzy panic in my orders was. When three girls went up, I passed towards the other side of the street. To see me only in a coffee: the young lady orders a cognac and lights the cigarette, and me, I take a small juice of orange and I really do not know what to make my hands.

Some centuries later, I am already an experienced man. This so big experience is not me of a visible usefulness. At least, I could transmit it to my son? However, until then he did not discover the slightest interest: in his schools wholly different programs belong.

Sa devojkama mi je išlo trapavo, u najboljem slučaju simpatično. Nasamo, pred jednom sam skretao pogled ulevo ili udesno. Naspram dve, već je vladala prava panika u mojim redovima, a kada su se približavale tri, ja sam prelazio na drugu stranu ulice. Trebalo me samo videti u kafiću: mlada dama naruči konjak i upali cigaretu, a ja uzmem sokić i ne znam šta ću sa rukama.
Posle nekoliko decenija, ja sam već iskusan muškarac. To ogromno iskustvo nije mi od neke vidljive koristi. Možda bih mogao da ga prenesem na sina. Međutim, on do sada nije ni nagovestio da ga tako nešto od mene interesuje. Valjda što se u njegovim školama sada uče sasvim drugaćiji programi.

Wow... this is great. For sure the best one I spotted here today.
Perfect scene, very well illuminated with a good level of ligh and shadow, exactly as it has to be in a good shot. The lantern is a point of equilibrium
to the heavy light in the floor which does not compromise the pic.
Of course, the human figures are fundamental to the good result. Very good timing.

immagine ricca di atmosfera. Forse un pò sovraesposta sotto la scala (il bianco toglie contorno al pavimento), ma l'immagine è comunque piacevole nella sua composizione.

Hello Branko,
How well you have used the light here, from outside and from the lamp. Strong light from outside to give the girls long, dark shadows, enough light from inside to brighten the girls and to show us the texture of the walls. A very artistic composition and some interesting thoughts to go with it.

Bonsoir Branko,

Tu te rattrapes à ce que vois et tu retrouves une nouvelle jeunesse en amenant "les filles" dans des coins obscurs.
Au niveau photographique c'est un beau jeu avec l'ombre et la lumière dans des conditions peu évidentes.

I love your story! But Wolfgang is right...
You had a very nice POV there and managed the back-lighting very well. But due to the artificial light in the passage, we see more than just the mere silhouettes of the girls, which is nice.

Bonjour Branko,
Ici, j'aime beaucoup cette photo, car on peut imaginer beaucoup de choses en voyant ces j. femmes qui montent un escalier bien sombre. Chacun peut se raconter une histoire différente. A nous de l'imaginer. Pour les filles, comme pour les garçons, il n'y a pas le mode d'emploi, mais tu l'as trouvé pour l'une d'elle et c'est l'essentiel.
Je te souhaite un dimanche ensoleillé.

This is a first class photograph, with excellent composition and light management. Passages are frequently difficult to capture well, sometimes avoiding silhouettes, other times seeking them. Bonjour Branko.
J'aime autant la note que la photo. Pour la photo tu as bien maîtrisé la lumière de face qui pénètre dans cet endroit sombre. Les filles sont bien mises en valeur. J'aime le graphisme des escaliers et des ombres portées.

Un superbe commentaire pour cette photo rendant hommage à ce que nous avons de plus cher (aux deux sens du mot cher).
Je ne peux résister au plaisir de te citer quelques vers d'une chanson française des années 70 interprétée par un groupe français qui ne doit pas trop être connu à l'étranger "Au bonheur des Dames" - Paroles de R. Marty. Cela te permettra d'entretenir ton français !

Branko, I have gone back through your entire gallery and I must say I am impressed. I can't say as I like every shot but I do think they are all good, but you have such breadth in them from fun and frivolous to the dark side of society and everywhere in between. Yo do really fine photography and being able to see people with your talent and write back an forth is the real value of TE. This is a fine shot, not an easy one, from light to dark, climbing into the sunlight, fine work my friend.
