[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This is the staircase to the entrance of the museum ARoS in Århus.

ARoS is a new art-museum in the heart of Århus, which was opened in April 2004 by the Danish queen Margarethe II.
The name Aros is the old name of Århus and means river-mouth. The A, R and S are written in capitals, so that they form the Latin word for art, ars.

I had to wait a long time before I could take a picture of this staircase without any people on it.

Hope you like it!

Hi Lars,
This is a very nice picture of a very nice museum. I especially like the perspective of this picture ... it almost feels if you are about to climb the stairs.
Cheers,
-M

Excellent cadrage qui nous donne une magnifique perspective et renforce l'aspect graphique de la photo.

Very nicely composed shot Lars - I was at the same place this summer but diden't spot this shot - very well done and thanks for sharing - great details and thanks for learning me about the name origin of Århus.

Glad you waited so long - its seems some people in the windows was watching you :-)

Hi Tuetje,

Nice picture. Great compostion; the lines and the perspective are really very strong. Well seen!

Excellent point of view. The lines in this photo are all lined up to the corners so well. The perspective up the stairs to that wall is really impressive. It's really impressive architecture and really impressively photographed. The people inside the glass adds added visual interest drawing the eyes in and inviting the viewer. It's a little low on contrast and sharpness so I tried a workshop.

Good picture of the modern Danish architecture. Interresting point of view. There is an balanced division of planes into congruent polygons.
By the way: Do you know the name of the architect?

Very nice picture! I would like to visit this museum. Very symetrical, the stairs, and nice that the building is not straight. Have you sharpened it a bit? Pity it seems a bit grey weather, but very nice picture anyway! Greetings, MArina

sorry, the above note is from me, not maarten.

A great perspective here, Lars; also a very graphical and strong composition, well done!

Only lines...
The perspective is interesting and you captured the path to the museum well...
Just to go inside now...

Hi Lars, A nice perspective view. I like to slide the computer mouse up and down to see the view of climbing up and down of the stairs. Nice to see the people's activities there through the windows. Good contrast and nicely composed.

Lars, c'est des couleurs et un graphisme excellents. Il y a le ciel blanc qui me gêne aussi j'ai tenté un WS pour le supprimer.
Beau travail !

Hej Lars,
Excellent perspective of this fine example of architecture. The composition is very well balanced with all the lines making a wonderful graphic effect and the people seen in all the levels, through the window façade, gives a better understanding of the scale. Great work of this architecture shot and interesting note!
p.s.- by the way, if you add the map view in here I would be much apreciated.
Hilsner,
Ricardo
