Photographer’s Note

A little 'postcard' from the Dolomites.
Here we are in Pecol (in the Zoldana valley) between Civetta and Pelmo mountains and was a magnificent day of sun after perhaps 3 day of snowfall.
What i would transmit is the sensation of cleanness and freshness of the air. And the gaiety too, to 'breathe' the atmosphere of the mountains. I'm an enthusiast fan of the mountains, expecially with fresh snow.
This time i was here not to skiing, but to stroll with my new snowshoes ('ciaspole') ... really a fantastic day.
I hope i can transmit to you a little bit of my sensations!

hi giorgio, long time no see; thanx for the dolomiti-shot (i'll be in val gardena in feb.); as for the shot - i like the perfection in colours plus the geometry of the stairways and the balcony; nice pic and the view so characteristic for alto adige, ciao

Caspita quanta neve, Giorgio. Io non so sciare ma comprendo la felicità di chi ama farlo quando si trova tutta questa panna montata davanti. I paletti di legno della scala conducono l'occhio in alto dove la neve è sempre più bianca. I colori sono stupefacenti. Ottima sharpness.
P.S. Qua a Milano ho visto un piccione che aveva qualcosa a che fare con Treviso, ma non ti so dire altro ...

You're right about the photo, Giorgio, it's a postcard! The lighting is excellent, it really made the snow and everything else become clearer and sharper. The place looks peaceful and very tempting for a vacation. The colors of the wood contrasts well with the snow and sky! Great composition. rgds.

Une composition toute en beauté et en simplicité. Une petite chaumière où l'on rêve du week-end en amoureux.
Le ciel est d'un bleu magnifique et la neige d'un blanc et d'une pureté éclatante.
Tout ce bois bien brun et bien entretenu offre une coloration supplémentaire.

Cerca cerca e guarda cosa trovo, ..giusto questa mattina auspicavo con mia moglie l'arrivo della neve e studiavamo di prenderci il ponte dell'8 dicembre inaugurare la stagione, la voglia di montagna si comincia a far sentire...
questa foto ha dei colori eccezzionali ed il gioco di prospettive delle scale aggiunto al POV la rende estremamente attraente..bellissimo lavoro.
