‘Bruges - Happy New Year’

I wish everyone on TE a very happy new year, all travelers interesting destinations, all photographers lots of beautiful pictures and those who combine both (most members of TE I believe) show us soon your beautiful results of your travels.

As new year’s picture I’ve chosen an old one I took in Bruges.
At the end of a beautiful winter day when the sun is low in the sky and most of the Market Square is already in the shadow, the buildings where the sun still shines, get a warm, red glow.

The building in the center is the Provincial Court and the red one at its right side is the post office.

Technically, this picture is far from ideal. There’s a lot of noise in.

But still I like it. On that very cold day I was surprised to find such nice warm tones.
I also like the shadows of the tops of the buildings behind me on the facade of the Provincial Court and I like that long strip of light all over the square created by the sun shining through the open space between two buildings behind me. It looks like this narrow shining path (nothing to do with its Peruvian namesake) leads the older couple over the market square.
