Lac Maligne (II) Photo

Photographer’s Note

Un autre vue du magnifique Lac Maligne dans le parc national de Jasper (voir ici). Cette photo est prise depuis North Bald Hills (2300m). Une très jolie randonnée permet d'atteindre ces belles collines... la vue y est incroyable!

Le contraste, la luminosité et les couleurs ont été légèrement ajustés.

Allô Marc, c'est vraiment gigantesque, on dirait que le lac est tout petit comparativement aux montagnes. J'aime beaucoup le naturel de tes photos. Elles sont vraiment très belles, continue!

I've been to this same lake, just last July. Probably I'll post some of my photos soon. I didn't do any hikes though, just drove through the countryside and stopped along the road now and again to take some photos. I posted a workshop, let me know what you think. I am trying to improve my post processing skills.

What a stunning landscape. The framing is very good. I do think the workshop does improve it a little by adding more contrast.

Une belle image bien cadrée pour cette vue absolument incroyable. Il y a un peu de grain, mais ce dernier n'est pas désgréable. Belle couleurs, c'est une réussite. Tu n'y as pas croisé d'ours ?

Beau sujet, beau cadrage, belle lumière et belles couleurs. La vue originale semble pixelisée. La reprise en "workshop" (image #2) est nettement améliorée.
Qu'aurait donné l'emploi d'un filtre polarisant?

Beautiful shot of Maligne Lake. I haven't hiked much in Jasper National Park, yet. I will make a point of hiking your route the next time I am in the Rockies.
I think your picture can be improved with a bit of colour correction and contrast adjustment. The composition, however, was very good.

Marc, I played around with your original photo a bit, and I must say you did well in PP. I couldn't get anywhere near your results. Your mountains are nice, not washed out like in my results. I even tried selecting out just the darker areas and lightening them, no luck.
I like the results you achieved very much, the mountains are sharp, the lake reflections are nice. Excellent job, thanks for posting the original so we could take a stab at it!
