Metsovo. These Greek ladies are gathering on a bench in the evening. They're talking and waiting for the beginning of the church at eight o'clock.Every evening about half past seven until just before eight o'clock are the ladies joining together on the same bench before the church.

Excellent. This photo brought a real smile to my face. We have such a range of expressions on the ladies faces, especially the tallest woman who is looking at the camera. It's a photo that keeps you interested, and that's why I like it. Great work.

This is wonderfull! I really mean it. They remind me of Ocatarinetabellatchitchix. I can even smell the strong goat cheese from the region... (I mean Corsica, even though this was taken in Greece)...

This is a very enjoyable photo to view. Each character has a difference presence in this little lineup and makes for a most charming composition.

Love all the different faces, which time has touched. Very friendly and enjoyable faces. Also the differnt ways of seating...hands fold, unfold, short legs, long legs...so much to see. Seems like a tight club of old ladies! Must say that it seems like a nicer environment to spend your old days than in an home for older people. Great shot!

These old ladies may have been at school on the same bench as well. Sixty (or more) years later, they are still together. So it's easy to imagine how much they have to share in common. Very good capture of this quiet scene.

A great complicity is visible on the face of each one.

Very nice picture indeed! Displays the beauty of old times and old way of living.
But I am not very sure these ladies are Greek.
Because, as I know, here in Metsovo lives a ethnic community that speaks a latin language. They are called "Vlachos" by Greeks and "Aromâni"/"Macedo-români" by Romanians.
They live here since ancient times and they are very traditionalists.
