A group of priests daily in the evening at the Dasashwamedh Ghat perform "Agni Pooja" (Worship to Fire) wherein a dedication is made to Lord Shiva, River Ganga (the Ganges), Surya (Sun), Agni (Fire), and the whole universe. in this pic the preparation for the aarti can be seen,as people concerned prepare the fire lamps for the ceremony.

the warm light from the fire lights is just enough to give this interesting scene lots of charm and quite a bit of drama as well.

A nice moment captured with nice lights. A very good result from hand held shot. Nice exposure. The two men's expression is very impressive,very cheerful ,the lights infront of them,the umbrella shaped lights presents a typical environment of Varanasi.Good Job.

Hello Dwaipayan. Nice shot showing the preparation for the ritual you describe. Pleasant composition. The row of little colorful umbrellas is just amazing! I like the smile of the two young men and the way they dynamically participate in the scene. In an ideal world, I guess the one at left would have been closer to the center of "his arch" like the one at right. Best regards, Claude.

anche se tecnicamente la foto non è perfetta per le difficoltà oggettive di ripresa con una luce piuttosto scarsa essa però appare molto interessante per la scena ripresa e per le espressioni gioiose dei partecipanti all'avvenimento.
Bella anche la composizione con la diagonale delle luminarie.
