This is a colour version of the pic I took along time ago, but minus the boat, I hope you like it just as much

I took this picture in Suma, it was very near to Kobe, I found out that this bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the world, I think it was built in 1998, but I will verify that for you.

It is the Akashi Kaikyo bridge.

If we compare this bridge to the Golden gate bridge in San Francisco, the bridge is only 8981 feet in length.

The building ont he right is the only museum that centres on Sun Yet Sen, the famous Chinese man that wanted to over throw the corrupt Qing Dynasty with the help of the Japanese.

Excellent perspective, and you have caught the bridge in a calm and pensive mood with the gentle mist and sober colours of sky and water. The juxtaposition of the interesting buildings foreground right add to the perspective.

Good version also the coloured one. Good shooting position gives fine depth and perspective. The greyish weather is for this compo a good detail.

Good composition, Dan. The bridge fading into the mist makes a great effect, and the museum building in the foreground is a wonderful addition. Looks good in color and with the slightly dim light.

You can almost call the picture the disappearing bridge. A little bit hazier and you didn’t see the other side. I think your right this is at the moment the bridge with the largest span. You can compare it the best with the Storebelt bridge in Denmark. With a little less span between the pylons, but much more water to span. Storebelt bridge

Oh wow, very special brigde, and again a fog here. The dark buildings on the foreground and the vage shapes of the mountains on the background make this photo even more special.

I like it in color a bit more than in sepia. There are some nice subtle shades missed in the sepia that are seen here. The point of view is excellent as in the other giving a very giant and long feel as it jumps across the strait. Perhaps it could use a bit more contrast to make it stand out more with greater depth. And it could be skewed a bit, although I like the way the tower leans in and adds a twisting sort of feel over the long sweeping cables. And you used the foreground to lead right into the bridge from all parts. Nicely taken.
