Photographer's Note

I have shared with you already one photo of the Stari Most (old bridge) HERE. That photo was taken at the blue hour from the opposite site of the bridge. Since this is such an important landmark I decided to show you here the other side and in a daylight. The light was quite harsh but it was one of this views which I suppose most of us would like to have in own collection.

Stari Most (English: Old Bridge) is a reconstruction of a 16th-century Ottoman bridge that crosses the river Neretva. The Old Bridge stood for 427 years, until it was destroyed on 9 November 1993 during the Croat–Bosniak War. Subsequently, a project was set in motion to reconstruct it, and the rebuilt bridge opened on 23 July 2004.
One of the country's most recognizable landmarks, it is also considered one of the most exemplary pieces of Islamic architecture in the Balkans and was designed by Mimar Hayruddin, a student and apprentice of the famous architect Mimar Sinan.
