Photographer's Note
A family scene on the peaceful streets of Vienna, a good city to live in as statistics say...and I think they are right.
Vienna is known for its high quality of life. In a 2005 study of 127 world cities, the Economist Intelligence Unit ranked the city first (in a tie with Vancouver, Canada and San Francisco, US) for the world's most livable cities. Between 2011 and 2015, Vienna was ranked second, behind Melbourne, Australia. For seven consecutive years (2009–2015), the human-resource-consulting firm Mercer ranked Vienna first in its annual "Quality of Living" survey of hundreds of cities around the world, a title the city still holds in 2015. Monocle's 2015 "Quality of Life Survey" ranked Vienna second on a list of the top 25 cities in the world "to make a base within."

Not the ostentatious Vienna but a more subdued and elegant street. Masterly composition and longish format create a background for the intersecting wires and centrally placed light. Nice graphic elements with the black windows and white walls. You definitely have an empathy towards architecture and urban settings. Best wishes. Klaudio.

Hello Daniel,
A lovely minimalist composition very well realised. I like the close framing and the placement of the family group. Also, the graphism offered by the repeating windows.

Hello Daniel,
This doesn't really look like the most beautiful part of Vienna, but the plain grey wall and the dark windows suits the composition very nicely. I like the graphic simplicity of this photo with the family well placed near the corner and the lamp hanging from the wire one third from the top.
Kind regards,
Gert

Bonjour Daniel,

Saluti

Hi Daniel
I think you must have waited for quite a while before releasing the shutter but what a result as they create an effective strong focal point and contrast to dominant white building. I think your patience was amply rewarded. Congrats, tfs

Hi Daniel
Nice to see Vancouver on that list :)
But it may not be on that list now because of our super super high housing, its very expensive to live in Vancouver, and it keeps getting more out of control.
you took a very sweet shot, and its so smartly cropped or composed. the windows fit perfectly into the framed box.
its quite and peaceful, nice shot
cheers
Craig
