Photographer’s Note
Another in the series I took of a potter demonstrating his craft.
ISO 800, shot under a mix of fluorescent and incandescent lights. PS used to increase color saturation, set levels, USM applied, then passed through Neat Image to remove digital noise.

Very detailed pic, good decision of using ISO 800 to capture the little details. Good work keep it up.

Hi - I love this shot. The only possible suggestion is that I would probably not 'sharpen' it so much... It just does not look very natural in my eye. overdone on pp.

very nice work.
good handling of the light. the reflections inside the pot and the cast on the close side give it a good sense of 3d object.
I really like the composition emphasizing the hands.

A lot of work after the shot! A good idea, indeed! I like the way we can almost feel the fluid and wet aspect of the "chamotte".

Bonsoir Alan,
Sujet qui sort de sentiers battus mais qui est intéressant.
L'image est très fine, mais légère sursaturation des mains qui ne nuit pasà la qualité de la prise de vue.
Bien fait !

Nice shot Alan!
I like the composition, very original. Zooming in on the interaction between creator and the creation. The exposure time was perfect in capturing the movement of the pottery.
Well done!
