Much less popular then the neighbouring Lake District is the Yorkshire Dales National Park. As the name suggests, the area has an accumulation of dales. Hills surrounding them are quite low but nevertheless the views are picturesque especially on a sunny day. Here a photo from a Sunday afternoon walk around the Bolton Priory in the Wharfedale, located in the village which is called, for confusion, Bolton Abbey. Bev has already presented much more representative views from this place. I had initially a pleasant light there but as soon as I arrived near the ruins heavy clouds arrived, and it became dark, grey, cold and windy. Nevertheless, it was quite an enjoyable walk and I think we will be coming there again in summer.
