Photographer’s Note
“iurisprudentia est divinarum atque humanarum rerum notitia, iusti atque iniusti scientia, iuris praecepta sunt haec honeste vivere, alterum non laedere, suum cuique tribuere; sumus ad iustitiam nati, neque opinione, sed natura costitutum est ius”.
You can read this Latin inscription on the facade of Palace of Justice of Milan. In these days restoration works are going so the facade is covered in this way with an advertising poster. I think the Palace austerity and solemnity are a bit compromised; however who enters inside will probably feel more at ease above alla reading the words over the girl: "sumus ad iustitiam sed natura ..." that mean: we are (born) for Justice but the Nature ..." :)))

I like it, lock me up there! :) A funny shot but also a quality shot. I would agree that justice has been compromised here. Great job!

Very well spotted and I like this play with words - thanks Gae - I like to spot the same kind of shots - could be one for posting some day :-)

It's always interesting how they cover buildings under renovation with these sheets all around Italy. I have a photo of buildings along the Spanish Steps with a giant Toto on them. But this is particularly strong in contrast to the building. A sacred hall of justice with this photo. I like it. It's also really shows how commercialism spreads into every part of life with its advertising.
