Photographer’s Note
I found this boat lying in a fairly safe haven while the winter passed by behind it.
The melting snow produces high water in the river, creating special conditions.
In front of the boat the water is calm. I put the sun's reflection at this spot, creating the over exposure which I like personally. I took a few shots wihtout this effect, but I prefer this one giving the picture more character.

I like the opverexposed sunlight. The compo and frame are good, and the picture is sharp and has a nice atmosphere, well captured, Albrecht

Hi Magnus, I was wonder what's about this photo, then, I read your notes. You have made the overexposure on purpose. Nice experimental work. Good to see the sign of the spring is coming to your part of the world.

Hi Magnus,
Great attempt to reach reality in this picture. Sometimes you have to shut your eyes half-closed to temper the fierce sun. I appreciate and like it very much that you prefer the local over- exposure above the perfect picture to express this experience.

Hej Magnus,
Smukt billede! :-D Tilfældigvis prøvede jeg i dag også at tage nogle billeder med solens refleksion i en lille havn på øen Texel, som jeg altså besøgte. Og jeg var langt fra utilfreds med resultatet! Dette billede er også meget fint! :-D
Hilsen,

Magnus a beautiful shot you have here. I like the lens flare or reflection. I tend to like it myself. But I posted a shot with lens flare and everybody griped! I think it adds some visual pop and really gets your attention. Nice job Magnus.

Excellent scene, evoking the coming of spring. Good ambience. I will be frank - I like your idea of some over exposure exactly where you placed it, but believe it was just a little too much. Nevertheless, this is a worthy and satisfying shot.

Hej Magnus,
After having read the note I understand the strong light and looking again at the view I find it gives some kind of elfic feeling, nice view from which I would clone away the disturbing blue tin.
Have a nice day,
jean-Yves

I agree with you that this photo has more character. I like this kind of reflections, make the photo more warm in this cold environment. Excellent light effects Magnus!

Good shot of the change between spring and winter Magnus. Fine details, not least with the ice within the boat hmm..
Maybe a little to much of the light reflection to the lower right.
