Photographer’s Note
I have seen so many nice pictures of piers made from wood so I decided to post one made of concrete. This shot was taken as a storm was gathering(my favourite time to take pictures)

Gren, It is so blue and beautiful of the main subject on the foreground against the background. Well done, Regards, Andrew

This road going to no where is strange. BUt it's original view Nice graphism. Maybe the composition could be little bit different because the dark of the piers is too important i think. I post a WS for you. What do you think about ?

Nice shot. I lke the distant perpective. The blue gives a moody atmosphere. I like it.

You are right, Glen, those weathered, wooden piers are so romantic and I would never have thought to make a picture from a pristine, concrete one. But you have seen a way to make a dramatic and interesting shot. I would have cropped it at the bottom, at the point where the side wall on the right meets the frame. There is a little too much tarmac in front and this crop would strengthen the, already strong, geometry of the composition.

Good perspective Gren. I don't mind the length of the peir, I think it adds something to the mood of the photo.
I don't know how to use photoshop well enough to remove the sticks in the foreground, but would be interested to see how this would affect the perspective. I don't think the photo would have worked very well without the storm and the dark blues it created.
Excellent shot, and thanks for taking the time to look through my photos. I look forward to seeing more of your shots. Mark

Hi Gren,
Nice shot, love the subtle palette of blues and greys.
The colour and texture of the pier is particularily appealing to me. As you say there are loads of shots of wooden piers and this makes a great change.
Well done!

Wicked perspective and frame filler here. Colours amazing too. Like a blue wash has been put over it . Nice one
