Photographer’s Note
The Taj is like one of the most photographed monuments on earth. Photos of it are everywhere. Here I tried a different approach. I wanted to take a portrait of it, to showcase some of its features in a way that is not often done. Did this using my 300 mm zoom. Sorry if the sky is a bit noisy, I think between the pollution and using the zoom noise is a bit unavoidable.
Hope you guys like it as much as I do.

Hi Daniel, wonderful view on the Taj Mahal, different from the most views of this gorgeous structure. Nice light as well.
I found the picture a bit noise so I ran Noiseware, a free program that works better than NeatImage, IMO.
I made a workshop, see what you think.

Hi Daniel,
original picture of the Taj.
I like the atmosphere, the contrast between white and blue.
You can use NeatImage to reduce noise in the sky.

A different and original view of the Taj Mahal. The noise is a pity but in that case I think could be worthy to do in posprocessing a manual selection of the sky and a heavy and selective noise reduction. Jesus

What a beautiful composition you have here, Daniel ! ! The parts of the Taj together in one shot, great colours and light, no tourists:-)) However the noise, a pity, I like it very well, great work from you !

Bonne idée Daniel! C'est efficace et le jeu de lumière est propice a la composition. Comme tu dis, c'est dommage pour la pollution atmosphérique et le manque de netteté de l'image.
Très réussi malgrés tout!

This is indeed a creative approach to this place and I like it very much. The blue atmosphere gives a maritime feeling to the photo and it works well with the white stone of the building. Also, a good side light to increase the contrasts and shapes.
In terms of technical details regarding the image sharpness all has been said.

Daniel,
I saw this shot under your featured ones and thought that is worth to write a critique even if it was posted already over 2 yeras ago.
That doesn't matter beacuse your novel approach to Taj is a very good one and is timeless and that is probably the biggest compliment that I can write for this marvelous zoom compressed image. Unfortunately the zoom also gave you that noise although that is something that you already notices and wrote in your text.

Nice this one. You explains that you have used a zoom, and that there are some noise, due to the lens, and to the pollution...luckly ;-) because the atmosphere that this effet brings is realy nice. It is as dream, as a fairy tale for childrens.
