This is the farmer you have seen working in the Holy Cows @ work

This was taken at a village close to Madurai, and I don't beleive that this lady has been asked often if she can be photographed or confronted with tourist. That may explain the curious look, by which she may be thinking what is happening behind the camera.

Of course she is posing for the shot, but whenever possible I prefer to get the consent of the person that I want to photogrape. Of course most of the time it takes the candid part of the short away but it is a choice.

Anyway thanks for sharing these lady and making her feel important to you, she doesn't have only a curious look but also theet, no ? I hope members can see beyond to notice her galant pose with her basket on the side and the good DOV leaving the suggestive background.

Very unsettling, bala.

This woman seems to have a hard life, and this is compounded by the sad state of her teeth. very unique TE shot, a face hard to forget. Thanks.

this photo touches me so much. how can she live with teeth like that, i guess life can be difficult sometimes. the photo is nicely composed, but there are some flaws - dull sky, her expression - she is staring at you waiting for your click (no connection between you and her), and the whole photo is a bit grayish. I am sure the original looks better. still, it is a good documentary work
