Airport at Twilight Photo

Photographer’s Note

6.17p.m. – This is another shot of Miri Airport showing the other side with the airport control tower in view. I have posted the view of the other end earlier. I was at the airport to pick up my daughters who flew in from Kuala Lumpur. The flight was delayed and while waiting and wandering around, I noticed that the lights were switched on as it was getting dark but the sky outside was still blue. I have always admired photos taken at this time of the day on TE so I decided to give it a shot. You will notice that the atmosphere is completely different from the one I posted earlier.
If you are already in Kuala Lumpur maybe you should consider visiting Miri and the Mulu Caves (World Heritage site) as the fare can be very cheap. Using Air Asia (no frills airline) and booking on-line you can get as cheap as $38.88 Malaysian Ringgit, one way KL – Miri during offer period. That’s about US10.00 only.

Hi Aloysius

I like the yellow blue contrast in this image. Good sharpness color saturation & lighting. I like the reflections in the polished floor. Bagus sekali!

Hi Aloysius,
I like here the light on the columns that brings them to glow, the open architecture and the trees bring in a pleasant tropical feeling, the pavement ad columns add a perspective, it's well taken and kept sharp, even at f/2.8.

Beautiful, preofessional, shot, Aloysius. You have captured the mixed lighting to perfection, but that wouldn' be enough if it weren't for the generous POV, catching reflections off the floor. Gorgeous to look at, makes one feel good!

Hi Aloysius, A very nice color combination in this well composed picture. The timing in taking this picture is excellent. The daylight is still strong, the electrical lights show highlight of the columns. The rushing in/out passengers show this is a busy place. Well done.

I like this, the twilight lighting. The warm orange colours of the airport interior sit nicely against the blue sky. I like way this has such a soft overall glow.

What a welcoming airport! Very tropical looking. What I like about the photo is the well exposed sky with the lighting also working well in the foreground making great reflections.

Awesome shot, here, Aloysius. The composition including the roof with those interesting lines is excellent. How long is the flight from KL to Miri? $10? That's amazing.
