Photographer’s Note
The next four months are peak tourist season in Paris. The weather is hot and people are out and about visiting all the monuments. The Eiffel Tower is the most visited attraction in the world. Some people come to climb it, others to photograph it, and many just sit at the Palais Chaillot and look at it. Whatever you do in Paris, it is always good to share it with someone.

Hi David,
This is a strong photograph. I like this scene.
Very good usage of you DOF. I like the light on the background, very good.
We can almost distinguish the olympic circles on the eiffel tower.
I love this photo, one of my favourite...

Salut David
Très belle image. L’ouverture a 1.4 est bien choisie et la lumière est magique.
J'aurais juste décale les personnages légèrement a droite.(peut-être ils n'était pas d'accord ;-))
Amitiés

Beautiful. You've created a lovely atmosphere with the light and by isolating the couple. Well done!

Bonsoir David.
Très belle photo.
J'adore ce cadrage avec ces 2 "tourtereaux" au 1er plan et la tour Eiffel reléguée en arrière et en flouttée.
Superbes teintes et lumière et magnifique PDC.
Belle compo.

Hi David
Indeed a nice atmosphere you created here, created indeed as I can't undo the feeling that here a lot of PP was involved to enforce it ?
A curious almost unnatural feeling but therefore also very incongruent.
Greetings

David, I don't know what to add here. I love this shot, the dreamlike state of the background in particular.

Hey David. This pictures embodies very well what I notice each time I have an evening walk around the Eiffel tower.
I find your framing clever and you used very well the esplanade reflection to focus on the couple. The exposure is great. I like very much the golden layer together with the blue environnement around the couple.

intimité bien saisie au milieu de la foule de Paris, les amoureux sont seuls au monde!!j'aime beaucoup l'arrière plan tout en flou..

Hi David,
A nice and intimate scene captured beautifully against the backdrop of the Eiffel tower. Your subjects are captured sharply.

It's a great composition, David, and you caught the mood perfectly. It looks very good in b/w (I tried it). I somehow agree with Henk, though - the couple themselves look oversharpened - they have edge halos (can't let you get away with that with kit like yours!). I do like the shallow DOF.
