Photographer’s Note
Power lines through the valley on the Trans-Fagarean pass.
There was a lot of haze in the mountains on this day as several photos I took reflect, but in a way, the haze reduces some of them to more graphical forms. Here I liked the light off of the insulators on the towers and the layered effect through the valley.

Despite the haze the light is good. As for power lines I like powerlines I am always fascinated by their design and the angles formed in their construction.
The depth given by the powerlines as they meander through the terrain is great. Great textures and colors (specially of the dirt)too.

I agree with Snuggle about the haze. The foreground is clear and crisp. The powerlines do not detract, instead providing a point of interest for the eye to follow. The interesting curvy road adds further depth. Well composed and captured under difficult lighting conditions.

Hi Cliff, a nice shot but that's too bad about the haze. I wonder if a UV filter would have done anything about that. An a/b comparison would be interesting. At any rate this shot is still chock full of natural beauty and you have captured the ruggedness of this place quite well. Congrats Cliff!

Hi Clifton, The power lines lead our view from the foreground to the distance away. The road leads our view winding about the power line also. The mountain changes color with the distance. A very nice composition. I like the gradually color change and view change provided in this picture. Well done.
