Highway Patrol Photo

Photographer’s Note

Caught speeding above 30 km/h on a Corsican Highway, we were stopped by the Highway Patrol. As you can see, they did not seem very pleased about our speeding, but seeing after a car check we did not carry any coppa, lonzu or prisuttu, they finally let us go with only a verbal warning.

Elle est amusante celle-ci ! Le contrôle a l'air sévère mais juste et j'espère qu'ils n'ont pas non plus trouvé de figarellu dans le coffre de la Clio ! Bon cadrage et belle gestion de la luminosité. Bien pensé pour le titre !

hahahaha, sympatique et typique "highway Patrol" corse, mais vous y avez été un peu fort, plus de 30 km/h en Corse c'est vraiment un exces ;-)J'aime bien cette ambiance corse avec toujours ses cochons sauvages qui se baladent. Merci pour le souvenir (et merci pour les commentaires sur ma photo depuis le Taj)

Salü Jean-Yves. Not a particularly great photo, but a genuinely funny and hilarious find with the Corsican pig patrol checking out the car. Very nice that you got one of them in profile and one of them seemingly headed towards the photographer.

ça me rappelle de bons souvenirs ces cochons plus ou moins sauvages, on s'est fait agresser par un qui crevait la dalle... il avait même failli monter dans notre voiture !
Depuis lors, j'ai un autre regard sur ces bestiaux, et je déploie un sourire sadique lorsqu'un des leurs se trouve dans mon assiette...

Last time they didn't stop me for speeding...but they stole my sandwich from my hands as I was peacefully picnicking in the landscape...bâstards! ;o) A typical scene here...well done.. lol

Une voiture on dirait abandonnee, reniflee par un gang de cochons, c'est quelquechose! J'aime l'aspect filmique ici, on croirait rever. Ca pourrait presque etre le Mexique, mais bon, c'est la Corse - meme chose... Super bien vu, Jean Yves! Amicalement, Francis

Bonjour Jean-Yves,
Si je reconnais cet endroit, il s'agit bien d'une "highway patrol". Le col de Sevi (si j'ai bien reconnu) est un spot privilégié pour admirer ces "patrouilles", tout comme le col du Vergio. Le terme "highway" dans votre note est particulièrement bien adapté, pour l'avoir une fois fait en Dyane 6, avec la peur de devoir pousser "Zéphyrine" jusqu'au col pour l'atteindre! Encore heureux que vous n'aviez pas de coppa ou de lonzu à bord, car la highway patrol n'aurait pas hésité à fouiller votre coffre sans ménagement.
