Photographer’s Note
Hola Amigos!
Here we are in Asuncion, the city of Cesar, Kikvel. Isabel and I took a bus from Iguaçu to Asuncion to finally meet this guy. And what a happy meeting it is! He took us to the city today, and we enjoyed it so much, smells, colors, friendly faces, music, demonstration against poverty and unequality of treatment.
Here we have two girls dancing, picture is definitely inspired by Isabel, check her today`s upload, and later our workshops.
pp. cropped, curves, brightness / contrast. sharpened.
Hope you like it, more to come from out trip.

Capillarity seems to be the name of the game, here: mutual inspiring, discussing, discovering and crossing boundaries as well as borders! ;-)
The way you handled movement and colors is quite eye-riveting, Rinie, with only a tiny glimpse on the right upper corner that everything is not merely red and white...
To be honest (as always), I'm much less convinced by the depth of field set on the background (with more dancers waiting in the "aisles", I guess), which detract from the general deliciously confusing and vaporous atmosphere you caught. Maybe keeping your camera a few centimetres off the ground may have lessened this impression. Maybe not. Well, you're the one who was there, camera in hand... ;-)
I'm glad I didn't go to sleep too early, tonight. Please, keep enjoying yourselves and allowing us privileged glimpses of the wonderful time you spend together...

Your POV is bery interesting. During these kinds of dances, the feet usually move the quickest so you can really capture that motion blur. The flying skirts also add greatly to the perception of motion. Nice job Rinie.

AH Rinie, I think you've fallen under Isabel's spell here. This is so much like one of hers, right down to the blurry subject. Great result for the experiment.

These dancing feet are just awesome. The movement and speed of the skirts allow me to imagine the whole scene.
Theres a fantastic transulent effect to their skirt and that is gorgeous.
Divertem-se muito...

Cool angle, Rinie: the foot-world. Nothing works better to highlight dance movements. Beautifully timed, cropees, see... Love, Francis

Inspiration is one thing, but getting a good result is another, and you managed very well here. I like a lot this blur of dresses and shoes in red and white, a feeling of movement, energy and joy. Really well done.
I'm glad you are enjoying your stay, and very glad that you are sharing with us almost in real time. Through your picture we are close to your feelings as you discover the country. It's not the same as posting your picture when you are back and you already have a distance with your trip. Here, we have your "raw" impressions and it's really enjoyable.

hey Rinie, this is a shot that makes you want to clap in your hands and follow the music pattern... a lovely rythm of orangy colors and swift feet moves.
It reminds me one of Claude's shot about dance in India, I simply regret the background orangy dress wasn't in motion like its sister clothes.

This has a nice sort of motion to it. It really focuses well here on the movement of the feet and thus all the footwork involved in the dance. And thea blur really brings it to life. And it's well composed with the lines. There's the depth of field issue as mentioned before. But it worked well to get that blur of the dancers. Nicely seen and shown with this eye level shot.

A very clever angle, such a powerful catch with a lot of rythm and motion. Excellent composition, Rinie, have a great time.

Hi sweetheart ;o) Very nice dance steps. This reminds me of some pics I took last summer of vietnamese dancers, on of which I posted thinking about Line. I wish I could have made this trip with you from São Paulo to Asuncion. This is so dreamy..
