Photographer’s Note

Eerie effect of lighting on a colony of jellyfish swimming inside a display tank at Chicago's Shedd Aquarium. The blue color comes from the lighting of the aquarium. The yellow and reds come from the reflection of another display tank opposite - the jellyfish somehow incorporated the colors - quite nicely.

Photograph taken without flash nor tripod. Post processing included autocolors, autocontrast and autolevels.

I really like this picture. Jellyfish photographs should be blured... :)
I find the primal chromatic range interesting
, especially with the blue glow, and I like the fact that althought no tripod was used, we can still distinguish some pattern through the bodies of the animals.

Mysterious and appealing. It is a fascinating image to play around with in Photoshop Elements. But what did surprise me is the beneficial effect (IMO) of applying Neat Image to this.

Ah so these are jellyfish! INteresting. Even without that information, I like the abstract nature of this photo immensely. Painting can have so many different styles from realism to expressionism to cubism; I'm happy to see some of this kind of exploration in photography as well. If you have any noise removal software, you may want to think about using it to lose some of the noise, but I love the shot.

Wow, pity that they are so blurry... I would have liked to see the fragile lines of the jellyfish... The colours are great and it does have a mysterious feel...

Like your composition...i think the title couldn´t be more apropriated! Good colors balance. If you have a picture of this animals less blured please post it, they´re really great! If you like them, i have a jellyfish picture too, go and see it :)))
