Photographer’s Note

At 2770 m over sea level the "COl de l'Iseran" is the highest french alpine pass, it links the upper parts of the Tarentaise and Maurienne valleys, the access points before the ascent being "Val d'isere" and "Bonneval sur Arc"
And the good thing when you are up there, is that you are above the thick fog that often remains in the valleys in the morning.
The white cross on red on the sign is the emblem of Savoy.

*** Special Note ***
I heard the sad news today, so I'd like to express my sympathy and support to all our British friends.
