Photographer’s Note
Along the way in Maramures. Not many visitors typically seen in some of these villages.
Not the best position or timing for lighting, but I wanted the positions as they were.

The light, imprisonned in the myriad nooks and crannies of the busy background and foreground actually helps accentuating the idea of distance, as expressively as their stares, both curious and cautious, a look at the stranger many travellers are familiar with, but also townfolks passing thru. i think it's all combined very well.

Interesting scene, Cliff - look at those boots! Next time I must get to Maramuresh. The image quality is a little disappointing - did you work out what the problem was?

Hi Cliff.
Despite very slight overexposure, as you note, this is a very well composed shot which portrays these villagers in natural repose. The spacing of the three people provides perfect balance in the scene and I like the old weathered wood fence on the right. Very well seen and captured.

Hi Clifton, A nice capture of the villagers. I like the way you take the villagers in their natural position while in a basic life. A good picture with nice contrast and clarity.

Hi Cliff. You are right the lighting could be better but this shot works quite well as is. That's because of the expressions and positions as you noted. The lighting takes a back seat in this shot. Great catch Cliff!

Fantastic colour - like a hand tinted photograph - my ad used to do this - almost as if these three were looking at you from a different time - again lots of detail but not cluttered!

I'm purely fascinated by this kind of photographs...
Down to earth, straight forward - classic...
You came, You saw, You captured...
A photograph to study, to analyze...
Every detail counts, my eager eyes are scanning every element of their domain...
So much to see in there, so many questions...
Great stuff, Clifton ... And I'm tahnkful for it.
