Photographer’s Note
This small restored hut close to the ticket office was probably inhabited by farmers who tilled the terraces.
There are many other ruins at the Machu Picchu (2,360 m) - 7,740 feet). The most important are:
The Round Tower - The Inca's Palace - The Princess's Palace - The Grain Stores - The Prison - The Eastern Quarter - The Temple of the Sacred Rock - The Main Temple, etc.
The view from this hut is just awesome. No wonder I took over 100 pictures!

Hi Paul
you have a winner over here ... I love this shot of yours .... I like the way you give this shot a third dimension ... as it gives us a good idea about what the view must be like for the farmers staying over here
and it is a splendid view for sure
Thanks for your note .... Cheers

I like your picture. Gives a real sense of how high up this place is. I makes me want the look left and right to see what else I can see.
Great note.

Beautiful landscape Paul.
You got this picture from an excellent angle, very well captured. Good view, nice colors. Love the contrasts between the small hut with the rocks and the clouds over the mountains.
Well done.

A great inhabitants eye view of Machu Picchu Paul - the sweeping and spectacular overviews are all very nice but the framing of this one to show the location for an individual farmer is really great - fantastic!

What a stunning image! I very much like the original POV for this photo. The subtle insinuations of what this landscape is really like are intriguing. A very lyrical image and I love it! Congratulations! Sabine

Hello,
la qualité de l'image est pas au top ... mais ce paysage est une merveille.
Ces brumes et ces enfilades de pierres .. nickel. Une vue originale de ce coin que l'on connait généralement toujours sous le même angle !!
Bravo et merci du changement !!

Hi Paul,
I really like this one from Machu Picchu.
It gives a feeling of the city in the clouds - and I like the way you used the hut on one side and the mountain on the other as a frame.
Contrast is maybe a bit high but it makes the colours more vivid.

Dear Paul,
I think I preferred you do photography. Seems to me you have a varied assortment of works and being a teacher, you would do justice in presenting your works visually and notes.
Here you have an angle which is not a standard tourist work. I would imagine the kind of angle, the farmer himself have had seen this daily. It makes you think why would anyone built something so high up on the mountain.
Merry Xmas Paul and Happy New Year Greeting
