Photographer’s Note
We were waiting for the sun to rise in Merzouga desert , south of the Tafilalt region in Morocco. I was a bit nervous because I did not want people to walk and spoil the pretty wind patterns of the sand . Indeed there were people who did not care about keeping the sand intact and had started to walk everywhere. So I thought I could perhaps take something different, a close-up of their marks and their lond shadows at that early hour before it was too late. .Low light did the magic !

merhaba izzet, what an ideal time of the day for the desert shot; so the impatient people actually made a great work for this image; very attractive picture;
have a nice week, jerzy

Great composition and colour and excellent capture of this play of light and shadows. The wind ripples on the sand are great and you did well making use of the disturbing footsteps of others. Regards, Huub

Bonjour Izzet,

Hello Izzet
Excellent graphic shot. Sand waves highly improved with the low light of the sun.
Perhaps a lttle too dark on the top.
Well done

Nice shot Izzet;
A fresh take on a familiar subject. The shadows in the sand really does make this shot.
I hope you don't mind, I've done a workshop with a couple small suggestions.
Cheers,

Surely the mark of a creative photographer Izzet, to shift your intention and take what was available to you. We still get to enjoy the subtle waves of sand created by the wind together with the pock marks and attendant shadows created by passersby. Frankly, it looks like a scene from when the astronauts walked on the moon. Of course, your photograph is far superior to what was beamed down from the moon's surface. Great use of the low light. Excellent work as we've come to expect from you. Thanks for sharing.
