Photographer’s Note
This will be my last photograph on dates 2005. I posted it because I liked it. As you can see the climber has used something to secure his waist. This keeps him secure and safe.

I like this composition better than the other 'dates-man' photograph that you posted Claude, because the exposure is better, and the man and the dates form a nice curve from the top to the bottom of the frame. Perhaps it could have been improved by having the man look at the dates rather than the camera, but often you only think of these things after you review your pictures! Cheers . . . David

Nice, almost graphic composition (the curve of the body is extended by the bucket in the tree) ... and besides that, an informative pic: to be honest, I didn't know before how dates look like when they are ready to be taken off the palmtree.

Really interesting picture! For me, date are always pack in a box and look brown and sticky!
Thank you!

nice frame the bright yellow of the dates is stunning.(it would have been great, if the man is looking on to the dates he is plucking) TFS

Hello Claude,
It reminds me of my native place Kutch since it is also famous for its quality fresh dates. Incidently, perhaps Kutch is the only place in India with climatic conditions favourable for healthy growth of dates.
To be frank, I am more interested in the fresh juicy dates than everything else in the frame :D
Regards.

Hello Claude. A worth seeing and informative Photo.
Your photos please me very well, because they are naturally, realistic and authentic. And for me the most important: the photos show people with their everyday activities, - or they are part of a photograph. On TE are the colorstrong motives for postcard predominantly likes. People photography receives less attention. I would recommend to each photographer to remain faithful for the own style and not orient themselves at the photos with many points. And then I think that one does not make a point exchange. Everyone should in a well-meaning manner criticize only the photos, which are real from interest. Further much joy in the hobby of the photography. Best regards, wolfgang.

Hello Claude,
indeed: I join "nithin1" in the question: where were you standing to take this photo? Also on a tree?
Very good photo, I like the moment :) The scene is filled with sun and warmth.
Best regards,
