[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Here is another image from our foggy day on the ghats. This saddhu has a lot of people who came and asked for prayers befor egoing to the Ganges. I caught a picture with a distant boat instead. I had to use the flash
because he would be really in the dark, it was 6.00 in the morning, and one would not believe that we could barely see anything with the fog.

merhaba izzet, a fantastic imahe: composition is so clear, so "correct"; and the fog really did a good job to make the background so surrealistic, so mysterious...
have a nice sunday, jerzy

Merhaba Izzet,
a wonderful motive with a peaceful atmosphere.
It's good, the boat is softly in the mist, so it doesn't disturb from the highlight, this old man. It's so wonderful to see people with their culture, so different from mine.
Thanks for sharing it with us

tekrar selamlar)

I like much this image of an old man with the look lost, wrapped fog, and this boat which going to the background, in the indifference.

Hi Izzet,
beautiful and moody shot. Nice composition with the boat and the foggy atmosphere.

Lovely photo! Keep up with the good work!

Igor

nice framing..
une belle image Izzet..
était-il nécessaire d'utiliser le flash? une beelle atmosphere.

the mist is great. the man is interesting as well, doesn't look like he is concentrating, more spacing out!

Hi Izzet - I'm back from a short trip away for a few days and putting up Claude's exhibition in my home town - such a busy summer! This image seems such a nice contrast to all of that- I love the slow almost ghostlike passage of the boat - the flash works really quite well although I do wonder what the image might have been like with it just a little less strength - but overasll I find this a really pleasing image.

best wishes Kev

How do you manage to capture with seeming ease such wonderfully classical images, with such beautiful color and dreamy mood, is beyond me. This flash was beautifully balanced. Does your camera have a pop-up flash, or was it a separate unit? I am asking because I am half thinking about going color on my next trip to India. Or should I stick to b&w? I don't know.

The composition is a bit messy I would say, but I like it for the details (specially the front part).
His gaze could raise a lot of questions but I will not ask
There is something about the shape of the boat and the roof that attracts my eye too

Ishai

I like the atmoshere here, Izet.
A great personality this man have can indeed be seen.
Excelent choice of using flash.
I would like to cut the right part of the image because of his orientation.
Therefore here I send you a workshop.

Regards, Aleks

Strong image Izzet. I like the use of flash to balance out the exposure. The haunting mist in the background obscuring the boat completes the image. I think the pole might be a bit close to centre though and the man and boat too close--perhaps a half step to the left?

cheers,

alex

Hocam merhaba, ne zekice bir kadraj.. Nefis bir kompozisyon. Adam sanki kendi mertebesinden alemi izlemekte. Harika. En içten dileklerimle..

Izzet, you seem to be able to perform miracles on foggy days. where another would give up you excel!
The sadhu look slost on his thoughts as the ghostly boat passes by, so much atmosphere here. Wonderfully composed and masterly flashed.

very nice shot-great use of flash fill
