Photographer’s Note

Waking up and join the trafficjam,
they're working on the bridge near Maarssen,
have to take another road,
never been on this spot before,
the sun is rising,
wauw...what a beautiful sight,
just along the road,
the two mills near Oud Zuilen,
that I took pictures of before,
now bathing in the early morning light,
will be back for other light and atmosphere.......

Hola Albretch. Me encanta tú foto, siempre me han gustado estas fotos en las que todo el paisaje tiene ese ligero color sepia creado por la luz solar. Por ahora no he tenido la oportunidad de sacar ninguna foto así, pero trabajos como el tuyo son todo un ejemplo para poder hacerlo. Me gusta mucho además la composición porque los reflejos del agua dan cierto encanto a la foto. Muy buen trabajo, felicidades.

Excellent shot indeed. The soft light is wonderful and the dominant yellow is vera charming. Excellent reflections of the mills and the bushes in the water. Very well done!

Beste Albrecht,
Ik zou inderdaad met deze worden moeten beginnen "wow...what a beautiful sight", rijdt maar regelmatig langs daar dan kunnen wij op zijn minst mee genieten van het heen u daar gezien heeft. Het is gewoon een mmoi zacht en schitterend beeld. Hier houd ik echt van!

Great sunrise shot, Albrecht! A very warm picture with a monotonality...not an easy task! Why you used such a high shutter speed? You didnt took the shot while driving, right?

Good morning Albrecht,

Wonderful light and orange colors of the early morning. Monochrome rendering that vreates a mood. I enjoy parcticarly the effects of light between the shadows Good job. I thought about listening " Pohjola's daughter " with this picture.

this is a lovely tranquil scene. The lighting is beautiful and the silhouetted windmills really give a great Dutch theme! The water is so calm and the reflections are stunning.

Well Albrecht I must say that this is a magnificent image!

The warm tones contrasting with the silhouettes are superb. And the composition very well thought. The centered position of the horizon works perfectly due to the symmetry created by the reflection and the vegetation in the right forces us looking into the image and stare at it.

In this case I even like the softness of the details.

Finally, and more important, the motive of the photo is captivating. An excellent image.

Been going through your back catalogue and picked out this one. The photograph looks more like a painting than a photograph, which is its strength. This also shows why these water scenes should be taken early in the morning or late on in the evening as the light is warmer and clearer.
