Quiet Black River Photo

Photographer’s Note

Black River : 09:05 hrs

Beautiful morning, About 3 km from Highway 170 , we are underway to the Fishing and Hunting club Bataram.

We stopped for a few minutes to enjoy the scenery as the twisting roas is following the Black River up to Lac au Plongeon.

Martine's uncle and his wife are working there from Spring til late fall taking care of the camp and all the facilities at this lake.

Very nice photo with interesting composition. I've got impression that it is skewed a little. It'll look better if you rotate image and crop it a little.

Great place, good low angle and composition.
But I disagree about saturation. There's too much of it, regardless whether it is from the polarizer or postprocessing.

Le format va très bien avec ce joli tableau, les couleurs sont magnifiques et l'arrivée de l'automne est bien marquée.

Beautiful shot Robert! I like the fact that the polariser did not take out all the reflection in the water. The colours are just lovely. The name reminds me of a place I visited in California called San Simeon, the former home Randolf Hearst. Hope you enjoyed the trip to Batanam! Did you get more shots there?

Wonderful view. The mix of colours created by the autumnal leaves, the excellent lowperspective and the well balanced composition make it very attractive.One of my favourites.

I knew from the thumbnail this was going to be good. The light, reflections and colours are all superb. I like the composition with the over-hanging tree and the clarity in the water is stunning.

Salut Robert,
Belle composition avec l'arbre à droite. Les couleurs sont bien saturées, le ciel bien bleu. j'adore les touches de rouge des érables. Bien vu aussi le reflet.

C'est une tres jolie vue lumineuse et bien polarisee, les touches rouges qui commencent a emerger de ca et la ajoutent bien sur beaucoup a son attractivite.
Ca pencherait pas un peu vers la droite ?

quelle photo amusante et vivante par ses couleurs flash...le soleil est au rendez-vous, y a pas de crainte...un très beau coin qui nous donne envie de le visiter...belle reflection...j'aime bien le tronc du pin à droite, presque dans l'eau, que l'on devine trop peu je pense...bien vu ...amicalement BI
